What are the voltages on a standard battery pack and on which pins?
In particular for a Dell Inspiron laptop 9400

Most are 19 volts but particularly with Dell lappies its MUCH more complicated than that...
Dell lappies have a seperate pin for electronically sensing whether the charger is the correct one for the lappy...thats voltage and AMPERAGE...
PA 10 OR 12 OR 21OR 3E etc etc etc...
You MUST have the correct charger for it to work and charge properly...
