UWAD - League Structure

Thanks everyone that responded. I've had a busy week, and am probably going
to continue to be fairly busy for the next few weeks so this isn't going to
move on too fast. I know a lot of you guys are going to be busy comming up
to xmas as well so that's probably for the best.

However the first few stages won't require anyone going off and sorting
stuff out individually, we can do it all via the newsgroup. It looks like
there may be three or four of us on it at least when we get on to individual
work, which is good and maybe more will become interested after the first
few stage.

Anyway, first thing is we need to decide which league structure we are going
to hijack. I've only played in Brazil, England, Scotland, Italy, Spain and
Sweden and only heavily (and recently) in Italy and England, so I'm not that
familiar with all the various league structures from all the other
countries. What we need is a league with a few divisions, not too many
preferably perhaps 3 at the most (with the bottom league being the half
arsed teams with minimal players that would normally not be set to run).
Probably 16-20 teams per league (and the higher the division the more the
detail). It may also be an idea to pick somewhere with high limits on
foreign imports so that the game stays silly as time goes on. That doesn't
prevent us giving players various nationalities it just means there will be
a lot of dual nationality players around.

So any ideas?

The only problem with Belgium is that you have to have under-21's in your
squad.

thats easy enough though, just do some of the players as youngsters.

You have to have U21's in your first team? Or is it just you have to have an
U21 side? If it's the later that is easy, and preferable to be honest, as it
gives the game more depth. If it's the former, that is just wierd. Well, it
would work in favour of The Springfield Iscotopes and the Southpark Cows and
any AGCM teams but may be a little strange for some other teams.

You have to have I think at least 2 U21's in your match squad, same as
scotland, Germany is worse because you have to have a certain amount of
Germans and players under certain ages, I'll load up the game later today
and have a look at the league rules again. Though in CM03/04 the scotish
league still had the U21 rule, but it didn't seem to be inforced.
