Windows 7 and internet connection

Hello,
I installed Windows 7 last night on my Sony VAIO laptop at home. I subsequently lost access to the internet provider because there is an "unknown network" between my laptop and the service. Furthermore, when I got to work, I was unable to get into my Gmail account because it has been temporarily disabled. Any ideas? Thanks.

what OS was on the Sony to begin with, did you a clean install or a upgrade,

1- Does ur laptop support Win 7?
2- Do u have the correct drivers for the OS?

Hi Kit Austin,

First off, access to your Gmail account shouldn't be affected by the operating system. Try accessing from a different computer and see if you have the same result. My guess is that it is a Gmail issue and will resolved on its own with time.

Since you are able to access the internet at work, but not at home, this may be an issue with your router? Is it compatible with Windows 7? Do you have all the up-to-date drivers?
