Windows Update ... offline updating possible?

Can someone please let me know, whether it is possible to save all the updates found in Windows Update for a future installation? For me, maybe it's not a problem downloading all the updates all over again every time I format my drive because I'm on DSL, but many on my friends are still on dial-up. And it's very difficult for them to download >20MBs.

You can use this site, <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/downloads/itdownloads/Default.asp" target="_new">TechNet IT Download Resources</A>, to download the files and save them to disk.
