Windows Installer interupting every few minutes

A week ago every so often Windows Installer would pop up and say 'Preparing
to Install' and would then disappear. However now its got more and more
annoying as it happens every minute. It will pop up then disappear as it
takes focus away from what I am doing I can't really do any work (i.e I type
a word document and the install happens and then I have to click the window
before I can type again, etc...).

A google search said Office 2002 could be the problem so I uninstalled it
but it has not made any difference what so ever. I have updated AVG and
Ad-aware so I am pretty sure it's not a virus or a trojan.

I'm solved it temporarily by renaming explorer.exe and the backup so Windows
XP runs without Explorer, I can run everything via the Task Manager and using
CMD and Alt Tab a lot...

Here is a log of the windows installer action (in an hour it managed to
generate a 100 of these). The only google reference I can find on the product
CF5193F7...etc, etc is for Microsoft Money which I uninstalled over 18 months
ago...).

Anyone help?
