We need to make a FAQ for these sorts of issues as previously proposed.

I have one of my own now.
I have heard rumors from fellow memmbers of THGC that when one switches from ATi to NVidia products or from Nvidia back to ATi, they must follow a special predure that goes beyond removoing the drivers for the device in the device manager. I have 3 Socket A DDR Athlon systems running Windows 98 SE and each of these systems is about to be upgraded to a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64 meg.

I will list the video cards on each machine and could yall tell me the procedure accordingly, thanks

1. Hercules 3D Prophe 8500LE 128MB DDR AGP
2. ATI Radeon 7000 64MB DDR PCI
3. Matrox G400 Millineum 16MB AGP

My OS features preemptive multitasking, a fully interactive command line, & support for 640K of RAM!

Okay, thanks CoolSquirtle, I didn't know it was the same procedure for each one, I had thought itinvolved some manual browsing through scattered directories to delete remnants of the old drivers.

If you are talking about Detonator Destroyer or Detonator R.I.P. I haven't used NVidia cards before now, the cards I'm removing are all Matrox and ATi cards, not Nvidia. Could you be talking about some toehr utility?
