I am selling my brother my Asus G73J 6GB, I7 (1st gen), 5870m GFX, and 500gb HDD for 300 bucks, charging him about 20 for shipping 20 for a wireless mouse and I am leaving a copy of Office Home edition on there (I get 3 licenses with my copy). Only issue with it is DVD drive may need replaced.

So for around 350 bucks total. I think I am giving him a good deal, what could I sell that for you think on the open market? Not going change my mind but I also dont want to rippoff my Bro either (he is still in HS)

I purchased it myself in June 2010. I just built a kickass Destop rig and no longer use it (or at least I had not inover a month)

Hi :)

Ummm this is FAMILY ...why dont you GIVE it to him.....

When my brothers wife died...I gave him a Porsche to cheer him up and give him an interest in life...

He swears to this day that it was the best thing that ever happened to him....

You only get ONE family.....

All the best Brett :)

+1 to Brett928S2. Give it to your brother. It will prove the better option in the end.

well I paid 1300 for it 18 months ago or... He was about to burn 1200 on a MacBook Pro.... so I feel I saved him 900 :)  on a machine that will play games better and has a 4inch bigger screen.

The free MS Office was my "gift" lol. Not to mention the 350 is going towards a 2nd monitor and a 2nd 6950 2GB :)

A good rule of thumb to maintain harmony in the family is to never sell what you can gift.

Math-wise, it is a good deal. But, what if it breaks 3 days after you sell to him? What then?

Your call.

Did you pick on your little brother a lot (like I did both of mine) when you were younger?

Just messing with you, friend. It is a fair deal, no doubt.
