I have XP home with two physical hard drives on the same ide cable. They are
jumped as master w/ slave and slave. The BIOS sees both drives AND windows
device manager but my computer only sees one drive. What's wrong?

Thanks
Bob

Remove the file "autoplay.inf" from the root of the drive.

start/run, type diskmgmt.msc , Usually you can rightclick the drive icon to see the drive. If not, boot to a Dos floppy and delete
the file. ( http://bootdisk.com )
