recent opened docs doesn't show

Hello

I'd like to see the recent opened docs in excel. They don't show (I guess I
turned off something because they don't show in start menu either which is
ok to me .... but I'd like to see it in excel...

Is there something I can tweak?

list" option unavailable in Office XP and 2003
