Two problems

For some reason, all my folders have been set to look like a photo album! Even my videos! My Videos folder has now turned into a photo album that doesn't have pictures! All other folders have been set to look like this to, so far I've been able to use the customize selection under the right click menu on select folders with the "also apply this template to all sub folders" box checked. However, this does not apply to special folders like My Documents and My Videos. Those folders don't even have the customize button!

Second problem. The new Windows Messenger, it's annoying, it doesn't go away, and I can't close it. I want this to never start up automatically again, and never run in the background. How do I stop this monster!?!??!

Have you tried going to Folder Views under Windows Explorer? Tools\Folder Options\View.

As for Windows Messenger, we've pretty much been over that subject here on the forum, and stomped that sucker flat. Try this <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/software/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=34159#34159" target="_new">link</A>.

Hey thanks! Didn't know that explorer thing would help. I pressed the apply to all folders button and voila!
