so when ati release the radeon 9900 later this year will the prices of all the other cards go down. you see im just wondering if it is best to wait to buy a radeon 9700 pro till then. wat do you all think

When the R9900 comes out there will likely NOT be any R9700Pro in retail boxes on the shelves. You can risk it, but that's your gamble.

I think the brand name is 9800XT.
I don't think i'll buy the 9700 Pro even if the price goes down. Maybe the 9800 Pro (for me) will be my option.

Canadian vs. Amrican prices. Mine was $300CDN the WEEK it came out (ended up getting free shipping) and now the Retail version sells for $240.

Roughly 160$ US.

I still don't get how US consumers can find shops there selling them for 130$.

There are some honest folks selling used 9700 Pros on eBay, some of them only a couple of months old and never oc'd. Just contact them directly and you should be able to score one for as little as $210. I wouldn't buy one myself- I'm an nVidia user and also because I've heard lots of weird things about the 9700's stability, some in relation to my mobo (A7N8X Deluxe), though I am impressed with its performance. If you're on a budget, a used 9700 is a really good deal.

That's very connotative. Are you saying you're an nVidia fanatic, or currently you own an nVidia?
