When I boot up my windows XP "Home Version" I get an error that says"This
application will not run in this operating system" and it has an OK button to
press. When I press it it goes away and windows works properly, but I don't
know why I get this error and don't know what "application" it is refering to
so I can fix it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
RK

check and see what you have in the start folder -

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

or check in the registry -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
