Go to Start -> Run and type msconfig in the Open box and click on
OK.
On the Startup page, look for an entry pointing to that newdot
file.
Remove the check mark next to it and close msconfig.
Restart your computer.
Once your PC reboots you'll see a notice about running in
Diagnostic mode.
Put a check in the box to not show the warning again and click
OK.

What probably happened is that when you ran MSAS, it removed the
newdot program but left behind a reference to it in the registry.

Spyware
http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/newdot~2.dll.html

If not installed download Adaware and / or update Reference file from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
and use it to remove parasites.
