alt.usage.english's 7th annual Summer Doldrums Competition launches today.
Almost one hundred questions - ranging from the ridiculously easy to the
virtually impossible - spread over two weeks.

Questions and answers are posted in the alt.usage.english newsgroup.

As you might expect, some of the questions will relate (loosely) to English
language or literature. But in keeping with the nature of the newsgroup,
many of the questions are delightfully off-topic. Nearly all the questions
have been googleproofed, but those of you skilled in the art of trawling the
web (or using old-fangled reference books!) may succeed where others fail.
And there are quite a few picture questions for the verbally challenged...
