What constitutes "inactivity" leading to standby?

Can someone give a precise definition of "inactivity" after which
Windows can go into Standby mode? Does it check mouse and keyboard
activity only? Disk access? Application tasks, etc? Thanks.

yes. all of the above. walk away from your computer. That is inactivity.
