Packard bell Easynote LJ65-AU-055UK

Dear Toms Hardware

I have a Packard bell Easynote LJ65-AU-055UK i hvae tryed to upgrade the memory in the laptop from 4gig to 8gig. wich i have been told by packard bell that is the max ammout of memory that the board will handle but when i put the memory in it will show in the bios 8gig but when it come to boot the windows logo shows then stalls :( after further investergation with packard bell the said i should send the laptop to them at a charge of £55 just for them to have a look. The memory i baught is corsair ddr3 memory the funny thing is if i take out one module it boots fine i have even swoped them round so i know there isnt a problem with the ram. is there anything else im missing??

Thanks for your help

  1. From what I can see the Packard bell Easynote LJ65-AU-055UK uses PC2-5300/6400 DDR2 SDRAM 200pin SODIMM. Not DDR3.
