Just installed the win 98 se upgrade last night .. now after every cold boot if I try to use explorer or I-Explorer they open but flash rapidly and are useless.. if I shut down to dos and run scanreg /fix and let it restart win98 (warm boot all is well.. until the next cold boot.. Also found that if I run scandsik (has to be on both DD's or it dosent work) explorer etc is also again useable... until the next cold boot .. I reinstalled win 98 se today but no joy any ideas ?? reg entries etc ?? this is a real pain in the ass.. returning to win 98 1st ed. is not an option at this point. System specs below:
