I noticed a periodic lull on my PC. When I look in Task Manager, I see a
Image Name of System, User Name is System, and every second or two pops up
to 19% CPU utilization. It has 212K Memory usage. Any ideas of what this
could be???

I know it is NOT the System Idle Process...there is a separate process
listed for that. It is also NOT listed as System.exe, just system, so it
doesn't seem to be the known Trojan. I've found some hints googling that it
may be legit. The latest Spybot and McAffee do not find anything, so I'm
fairly sure it's a virus.

It is a legit process? If so, any ideas why it's eating so much CPU all of
a sudden?

Thanks for any help.

Try Autoruns to examine process and cpu usage found at
