My toshiba laptop wont recognise my mouse

i just got a Toshiba Satellite A105 s2236 laptop I have plugged my mouse into and tried all the USB slots and my laptop won't recognize my mouse. Is there a driver missing or does this model not recognize USB mice?

If the mouse works in another machine its the usb ports....you DID try it in something else of course ????

All laptops work with usb mice..
