Hi I have recently had to reformat my machine and think I have a monitor
driver problem. It hurts my eyes to look at the screen and the mouse cursor
flickers when I move it. How do I find out which driver I need and where do I
get it? The manufacturer isn't very helpful, can anybody help?
AMD Athlon[tm] XP 2700+
500 RAM
NVIDA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU
LG Monitor Studioworks Hisync 775
Thanks

It may just be the refresh rate. Right click on your desktop go to
properties, then the settings tab click the advance button then the monitors
tab. You should be showing a "plug and play monitor" I would think, in the
monitor settings change it to at least 85Hz and click "OK" back through the
screens and see what that is like.

1. Look at the user guide and then you will find out how to load the drivers
off your 'drivers' disk.
2. No guide or useful information? then get Everest home edition, install
and run.
Lavalys EVEREST Home Edition is a freeware system information, system
diagnostics and benchmarking solution for home PC users. It offers system
information and diagnostics capabilities, including online features, memory
benchmarks, hardware monitoring, and low-level hardware information. EVEREST
Home Edition is uniquely available for home users without any charges, based
on the freeware license.
This will give best information on the Display Adapter so that you can do
further searches for up to date drivers.

Hi,
Control Panel/Display/Appearance tab, click on "effects". Try changing the
method to smooth the edges of fonts between standard and clear type. Which
one is best for your system depends on the monitor, using the wrong one will
give you a headache.
