Vectrex controller pinouts

I have a spare controller, but a dog (or something) mangled the cord.
I was going to replace it with a Genesis cord by resoldering the
connections to the board and then filing down the connector a bit.
Does the Vectrex connector follow standard DB9 pinout convention? In
other words, does black go to pin 1, brown to 2, etc. Thank you in
advance.
