Leadtek's FX5900 barely fits in my system wouldnt expect this card to...

HEhe, you beat me to it. For all the time that I've been talking about this card (the fabled response to nV if the FX5900U lived up to it's PR), and you beat me to it. Oh well BEER, and Football (yeah the Broncos WON!) kept me from getting this before leaving work.

Coool looking card, and might have some interesting options (finally surround gaming on an ATI card?) but I can only imagine the power consumption and the heat created.

I do love the idea though, but we'll see if there is any advanatge to the design (throught the volari thingy) of if like the DUAL MPs it only see occasional benifit and you really have to know when it's worth it.

Once translated I think it's a poor translation. It appears that the italians didn't mean work as in function, but work as in being a commercial card. It likely worked but the power and heat issues were too much to make it viable not functional. In any case it was always an interesting concept. I'm just not sure if it's even economically practical though.

Well as much as it doesn't work I still like the idea, and also the one of putting 4 R9600P class engine on one chip. I think there's alot of applications where that could come in handy and really those are applications I like (especially multi-mon.) etc.

Funny, when I mentioned the MAXX about 3 months ago everyone thought I was making it up and freakin' nuts!
