Ok. I have windows 2000 and win media player ver 7.01. I haven't upgraded it because I was told that you need a lower version to play DivX movies. I have a bunch of videos sent to me from relatives and such and most of them work but alot when sent to me I only hear sound and see the title of the file on the screen but I get no video. I was told I had to get "codecs" so I downloaded the DivX 3-4 and Angle Potion Codecs. Still no go. Is there some other codecs that I need or do I need some other type of video player? Is there better players than Win Media Players? Please help. Time is of the essence.
Thank you.

Why aren't you using the DivX players?

A few codecs that are a must have anymore, are any divx codec you can find (don't go higher than divx 5.02, because all higher ones put a gay watermark on your screen) and XviD

It's all good ^_^
