I have 3 applications that are freezing up my system. They are dvd shrink,
firefox, and command and conquer. My os is winxp sp2 and all the apps/games
in question have the latest updates as do my video and soundcard. When i
look in event viewer i see the following:

Hanging application firefox.exe, version 1.0.1.0, hang module hungapp,
version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Hanging application PowerDVD.exe, version 4.0.0.2417, hang module hungapp,
version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Faulting application , version 0.0.0.0, faulting module unknown, version
0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.

What is obvious here is that they are all hanging at the same fault address.
What is not obvious, at leat to me anywho, is why. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I mentioned in the .general group that you may have interference from a
background application. This might be in the form of spy or ad programs as
well. These can help you eliminate that possibility:

Adaware www.lavasoft.de
Spybot www.safer-networking.org
