heres the story. my brother has 2 computers. one 2k and one xp. the 2k crashed. ntldr etc not found. he tried putting it in the xp comp as a slave to try to open it to save some data. well, that didnt work, he put it back and reinstalled 2k. now the machine that WAS working (xp machine) wont boot. it goes through post, shows the hard drive and stops at a blinking cursor in the top left corner of the screen. also, he cant reinstall b/c it wont boot to cd rom even though he has it set to do so in the bios. any ideas?
