Hi all
Our bandwidth is quite small down here. How would I go by (if there is a way) downloading streaming video, for example RAM and ASX and WMF. There is so many music videos and clips out there, but you can't save it. Obviously this is for copyright, but help??? There must be a way out.

You need to specify what "quite small" means.
I used to be on a 56k dial-up modem, and was nearly able (but not really) to download VERY low bit-rate small video footage in real-time.
This is the key - to watch or listen to things in real-time, you need big bandwidth, at least 256kb per second (cable modems and ADSL modems tend to be 515 kb or higher).

If watching them in real-time isn't the goal though, you can use ANY bandwidth to download and watch anything, but you'll just have to wait longer to get there.

Often the vids are stored in a temp directory. Do a file search for the latest files modified on your computer and then sort by extention (wmv,asx...). Copy the file blabla.wmv to a permanant folder of your choosing.

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.

Hi folks.

To save some sorts of streaming video like real media to your hard drive you would need to use something like StreamBox VCR, do a google.com search for links and more info. Most of the times you can just right click a link and click save target as , and save a file that way.

Ah. That's the answer I want, Audiofreak.

I'll be trying the software in the morning.

Thanks

As was the problem with my Maths A-levels, i didn't fully read the question before providing the answer.
THAT'S the reason I did badly, honest.
