The title says it all
no..it didn't tell me much  anyway, 9800np is better, i think the 9800np clocked at the same speed to 9700Pro, and since it comes with newer technology, (smoothvision2.1, HyperZIII+ and blah blah..)
it should be a better choice

I'm not so sure it's clocked as high (I think it might use slower RAM), and those "new features" are done in software...I'd probably go with a 9800np anyway if it had good RAM because the newer chip revision should clock higher.

The latest omegas turn a 9700pro into a 9800! It hardly does anything though. But my 9700pro clocks to 9800pro speeds anyway.

Captain Obvious says the 9800 runs at 325/290 while the 9700pro runs at 325/310!

Additionally the 9800 often comes with slower rated ram that doesn't overclock as well! But even that varies. 3.3ns, 3.0ns and even 2.8ns ram is used on the 9800!

R9700Pro at stock seems to be a wee bit better than a 9800NP but there isnt really much to choose between them... go for the best price/bundle you can find, U will still be happy with whatever U get...

Trust me I know what I'm doing... ooops, grab the cat...

If you could find a 9700pro then get that since it uses 2.86ns memory rather than the 3.3ns memory used on the 9800np the 2.86ns memory's rated 253mhz effetive so there's a decent headroom for overclocking.
