CD Drive Refresh in Windows XP

In Windows XP Professional (SP2) in Windows Explorer the CD drive will only
refresh after a reboot. So if you put in a CD and press F5 or View | Refresh
on the menu the title on the CD drive in Explorer does not refresh - it keeps
the name of the previously inserted CD. This does not seem like a major bug
but in the case where you are installing software that spans CD this can
cause the installation to fail.

This sometimes solves the problem when pressing F5 or the Refresh buttons do
not work. Do not use the Folder view in Windows Explorer.
Open Explorer>View>Explorer Bar>uncheck Folders.

I found this after I posted:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&displaylang=en

and it fix the problem.

Maybe microsoft could release it from Windows Update?
