I am currently building a fileserver/multimedia box and i was wondering what would be a good, relatively cheap video card with good s-video out quality. does anyone have any suggestions? or experiences?

I run my second computer as my "Home entertainment system", and I have a Radeon 8500 in that puppy. It's great... Radeons have the best TV out and DVD motion compensation out there, not to mention the nifty Remote.

Go for a Radeon 7500 if you don't plan to play games, an 8500/9000/9100/9200 if you're into gaming, or a 9700/9800 if you're very serious about gaming.

But regardless, all will have the same picture quality and excellent DVD playback.
