If you need a PCI video card, then you might find this review interesting:

Thanks, my brother's shopping for a PCI card. I promised to help--my part's done after I forward him this link!
btw, is that Dan Akroid or does the author just look like him?

Yeah, that does look kind of like Dan Akroyd, and no, I look nothing like him.
The most interesting thing about that review is the poor performance of the FX5600PCI. People would be better off saving their money and buying the FX5200 or R9100. he few times the FX5600 wins the benchmarks it's by such a small margin as to not be worth any premium. I wonder if the AA/AF would change that (or whether it would even be worth it).
All in all I would say the clear winners are the FX5200/R9100 depending on price.

you use Windows98SE with the system you have?
I enjoyed your review Dinney, the Radeon 9100 made an especially good showing, even when put up against the FX5600 PCI. I'm glad my old PCI Radeon 7000 64MB was of good use to you. BTW, are for sure it was a Sapphire? I thought it was a "Built-by-ATI" but I never really payed much attention to that sort of thing back then?
Dinney, does your lastname originate from a Slavic country? I was just wondering because that name sounds unfamiliar. Oh, & nice review again

Yep, my last name is Czech.
Yes, the 7000 64m was a BBA card, but the 32mb 7000 was a Sapphire refurb that I got from Newegg.
Glad you liked it.
I beleive in the review, you labled the 64MB as a Sapphire if I'm not mistaking.

Yep, you're right. The 7000's got mixed up in the VGA comparison chart. Everything else about the cards is correct, just the name is switched around. Nice find. Neither I nor anyone else had seen that.
Thanks. BTW, what's your post count, don't know why I'm curious about this?

Ok, cool. Wasn't sure what you meant. On some forums, if you have a low post count, what you say is not important, or doesn't carry as much weight as someone with an ungodly post count. :| Sorry, didn't mean to go all defensive on you.
Very nice review. Well done. funny how the fx 5200 is almost on par with the 5600 in some tests. sad really.
Is there anything really more to say?
No, I have alot of trust in what you say Mloot. In fact did you know that your review was posted on Tom's Hardware Guide's Frontpage in the "Hard News" section?

Really? Sweet! I didn't know that. I saw that it made Nvnews' news :| page a couple of days back, but I didn't see it anywhere else. Can't help but love the exposure.
Let me go find the link, I'll be back as soon as I can.
