Is it just me or is XGI avoiding the US market as a whole? One could even say they're avoiding the English speaking market as a whole. The latest interview is http://www.vtr-hardware.com/articles/a3111_1.php which is a french speaking site with an english translation. This piggybacks the article from the hungarian website posted earlier. They were supposed to come out with benchmarks on 13 October 2003 at the IDF APAC in China but alas...we haven't seen those either. I think their company is BS.

Don't you mean WARY? or are they already tired of the US before they get started?

I'd be surprised if it was that they are afraid of the US market, they may just not have enough product to match initial potential demand, which is not as good as som people think (you wanna make sure that advertising dollars are paying of, not just creating demand).

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a question of NDAs and such.

Also some of these sites have special relationships with makers and are trusted sources. In the same way that Anand has been for nV recntly.

No rush, it's interesting but I'm not as excited about it as the PCI-EX cards coming later.

However if XGI does wait anymore, any potential lead they had will dissapear quickly once the R42X and NV40 arrive.
