I am looking for a laptop for general use (internet with a lot of tabs), the most intense thing it might run is photoshop or streaming an HD movie (not at the same time). I don't want to spend more than 400 unless its a deal I cannot pass up.

So I've narrowed it down to either a Dell Inspiron 15(n5040) witch I can get from a local Best Buy for 400 or any of these Asus laptops

They all are core i3 with 4gb of ram, hard drive isnt important to me as I have a desktop for storage. So witch do you guys recommend. Or if you have any others that would fit the bill feel free to throw them out there.

Those deals seem pretty good, I didn't see anything significantly cheaper with a similar i3 package online. If you are set on the i3(fine choice for your mentioned uses) these are a good deal, just look at some reviews online make sure you don't get one with questionable durability.

If you have plans to play any games(like Starcraft 2 or something) then you might want to consider a similarly priced laptop with the A6 CPU just because it has a significantly faster integrated graphics chip.

So would you go with the Dell or one of the Asus's.

I wont be doing any gaming on it as I have a desktop for that. I'd like to get the most out of the battery as I can, do you know if the A6 is better than the i3 for battery life?

Also tigerdirect just posted http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1438647&SRCCODE=TIGFACEBK&cm_mmc_o=m21CjCd-2HPRRsCjC2zfGpjvICjC-voiCvDxSvn for 450 with coupon, is core I5 worth the extra 50 bucks? Will that be worse on battery life?
