Hey Guys
I am trying to my PS3 to pick up my dads computer so he can watch his movies on his big screen. I know how to set up computers for this type of connection since i have already done it with my own computer. The issue that i am running into is the media streaming option on his computer. when i go to WMP12 and go to turn on streaming it takes me to the little window where you should be able to either turn on the streaming and select which devices that you want to allow. However my dads seems to be on however it does not access the LAN that the ps3 and my computer are on. My pc is wireless and the ps3 is being connect wired. Do any of you have any suggestion on how to get my dads computer on the same LAN as everything else. Is there a way to reset media sharing or is that not the road i need to take. Below are the the spec for his computer.

Hopefully you will be able to access or see the pic. I read what you posted jess while def helpful it didnt fix the issue. The issue is the pic posted. I have media streaming on and where the local area network should be listed there is nothing and the drop down is blank as well. The odd thing is that it recognizes my computer and has access to it but nothing else on the network. sigh i am lost as to what to do :fou:
