PROBLEM: Dig Dug is BLUE!

I have just re-capped my Dig Dug upright resolving a multitude of video
problems However, the dig dug character is still BLUE (the actual
digdug character you move around during gameplay; not the ones lined up
at the bottom of the screen telling you how many dig dugs are left -
those are the correct white color!).

Any help would be greately appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks. I haven't yet started replacing ROMs... until I find another
pcb it won't be easy. But that was my first guess. Of course if
someone out there had the same problem, I'd know exactly which ROM to
replace (of course obtaining that ROM without having to buy an
entire pcb is another story).

It just doesn't make sense to me that only the Dig Dug character would
have all its whites turned to blue, yet all other whites in the game
are just fine (even the Dig Dugs at the bottom of the screen ("men
remaining" )!

I gave him a quarter to try and cheer him up but it didn't work. Maybe
he's like the new snobby characters out there requiring 50-cents or
more.

Will keep pumping in the quarters regardless.
