I have a Dell Latitude 800 laptop. I'm having several problems or issues.
The biggest one right now has to do with the opening or popup windows, it
might relate to java.

Once I got the PC I quickly installed SP 2. I had issues and troubles when
I started to install McAfee Security Suite. There were issues with updating
successfully. After tech support they directed me to a website talking about
how not all of the registry issues successfully updated. There was a link to
the article about this issue. I keyed in the registry values and my software
was installed successfully. I remember one of the issues related to was
java. It was able to successfully install all the other registry values, but
this one could not be found. The McAfee people said that this did not
matter. I tried to contact McAfee before I posted this, but I'm unable to.
(More on this later).

I am also unable to use my excite email account to launch a simple email. I
believe this relates somehow to java.

Here is the current message I get when I try to access the McAfee website.
I fill in all of the fields and get the error message at the bottom of the
page. When I click to get more details I get

Line: 290
Char: 908
Error: 'custclient' is null or not an object
Code: 0

Not a Windows XP related issue. Please contact
McAfee support.

That looks like a JavaScript error message, not a Java error message.
