Go here (http://www.geocities.com/carnut166/IMG_6293.jpg) to see the pic of the choice, and heres the bit:
My vid card is a GeForceFX5900 card. Its an AsusV9950.
Well, I removed the stock heatsink, and see that it makes contact with the memory and the GPU (which is huge, btw)
I am thinking of using arctic alumina to 'glue' my stock cooler for my Athlon XP2700 onto the GPU, and then using some other old cut up aluminum heatsinks for the RAM.
I have plenty of room in my case (the only PCI card I have is a TV tuner card, on the very bottom. )

Basically, Im wondering if its worth the effort to put this other cooler on it. The AMD cooler is heavier, a bit, but is made of aluminum, while the stock cooler is copper, but also cools the memory, and as no fins over the GPU, but only at the edges.

So, reattach the stock cooler with arctic silver 3, or epoxy on the AMD cooler and various heatsinks with arctic alumina?

Any opinions would be great, thanks.

Ive now decided to remove the old fans, and rip off part of the heatsink so I can put the AMD cooler ONTOP of the old one.
So far, its on, and drying. Ill support the card so it wont warp.
Im hoping to improve my overclock of 480core, 1000 memory. I may do a volt mod in the future.

Well, now its done, and my temps are about 15 degrees celcius lower. I can now overclock to 500mhz core (from my old overclock of 480)
As soon as its voltmodded, Im expecting more, perhaps 575.

You'd better get watercool before you volt mod, the card is already really damn hot.
