I did try sfc /scannow last week. I had to run it many times before i could
get ntbackup work. It did run once, but I let it run in background while IO
was doing something else. Then, I had to turn off my computer, and it did not
work again. I will try scannow again after creating a restore point. I read
that scannow could alter one's setting. Can it?
