Any ideas on what is causing this?

Not sure where to post this...but here goes...
Monitor shows "no signal" ...as though the pc is turned off but the box was still on. Rebooted...all was fine. A few minutes later it went back to the "no signal". Rebooted and the mouse froze. Rebooted again and all was fine. Again a few minutes later it did it again, and Ctrl-Alt-Del brought the screen back. So far so good....but does anyone have an idea as to what might cause this?

Some kind of power saver setting, a loose/bad cable, or bad vid card that is slowly dying.

hmm maybe dying mobo/vid card. I got similar results just a week before my asus g2mx died along with my mobo. I was getting no signal message and only once in a while got a signal to the monitor (through when the signal was back it was stable).
Can you check the card in the other computer?
