Changing assignation of "END" key?

Hi there.

Apologies if this is in the wrong newsgroup - and if it is, can you
direct me to a more appropriate group please?

I've recently moved to a new laptop, a Toshiba Equium, and to activate
the "END" function (for instance when editing a Text Document) I have
to press the "FN" key and the "PG DN" key simultaneously.

On every other PC I've ever had or used, the END key has always been
just a single keypress, and it's driving me mad. I've struggled with
two weeks and I'm just not adapting well....so my question:

Is it possible for me to re-assign another key to the END function so I
can do END with a single keypress again?

I might be barking up completely the wrong tree, but at least I'll know
one way or the other.....hopefully!

Thanks in advance for all advice

John Stilwell.

The physical limitations of a laptop computer supersede anything that is in
Windows XP. The hardware/driver combination will prevail. If your
instruction manual and the Toshiba website don't tell you if this can be
done, it probably can't be done. Remember, you are NOT using a 101 key
keyboard - the desktop standard.
