Monitor won't wake up.

After installing a new video card (Radeon 9600 NP) my monitor which I usually have set to turn off after 10 minutes of activity, goes to a "no signal" screen. Rebooting brings it back but it's annoying. I've reinstalled drivers, reseated card.
Any ideas?

Had this problem on my system about a month or two ago. I'd turn on the PC and the monitor didn't go on, and the PC didn't alert me that there was a graphics card problem.

After a fair bit of hair loss I tried another AGP card to discover that it did not work either, and yet the original card (in my machine that did not work) was functioning in another machine. I then tried a TNT2 (non agp slot) which didn't work either!! Eventually I figured it out that my AGP slot was fried and had to fork out 100$ for another motherboard.

Did you end up figuring it out anyway?
