Hi all,

I've got a Radeon Sapphire 9200SE 128Mb, which I know is a bad vid card, but it's giving me just a few more perfomance than my old GF2 MX400.

My machine is old too, but should be enought for the games I play:

A7V133 (AGP 4X)
Barton 2000+ @ 1667Mhz (133x12.5)
384Mb RAM PC133
PSU Aopen 300W
Windows XP

In 3DMark2001 I get:

GF2 MX400 -> 3300 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7206121)
Radeon 9200SE -> 3900 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7201282)

I think it should score about 4500/5000... any idea about what's wrong with my system?

AHH, stay away from ATI's se editions, the se stands for Sucky Edition. If you could afford it buy a 9200 NOT se.

When you swapped over did you make sure you had removed all of the nvidia drivers? This is a very common problem, often caused by remnants ofvideo card drivers being left in the registry. If you didnt I reccomend you uninstall all videocard drivers, download a program called 'drivercleaner' (type in google) and then use it to remove both nvidia and ati drivers, before reinstalling the latest cats.

I'm now running a clean installation of Windows XP, so that shouldn't be the problem...

There are a lot of better results in MadOnion ORE (Online Result Browser) with vid cards like mine on similar systems. GF2 MX400 should score at least 3800 and Rad 9200 about 5000 :(

radeon 9200 can score 10000, but not the Sh*t Edition.

A friend of mine bought it to me (58€), don't know where exactly (in Spain, of course :D ). Maybe it's only for Europe, ask your local provider...
