Hello,
I installed Thunderbird 3 on Win 7 64 bit. All went well until I started to configure my accounts. I have Comcast as ISP and Thunderbird ran into trouble regarding security. error message was that it does not handle the security settings I should uncheck my choices and try again. Well I made no security choices Comcast support said they do not support Thunderbird. Help Does any one know of a fix. Some things on the web discussed using port 465 or port 587 Neither worked same Error message

I had the same problem. The fault is that Comcast will not recognize the security options in v 3.1. delete all traces of thunderbird. Find v 3.0.5 and install.
