I purchased a MN-500 yesterday and as soon as I plug it in
to my network my computer crashes/Lock up I am using
Windows XP SP2 all patches installed.

It doesn't matter if I connect to the unit with network
cable or Wireless, seems soon as its finished its DHCP
request its fully locked I have to hold the power button
down for a hard power off.

Anyone have any ideas? I haven't seen anything like this
in 20 years of networking.

Hi,

Are your computers using static IP addresses or are the IP addresses being
assigned dynamically through DHCP? Perhaps your computers are experiencing
a IP address conflict.

Have you tried doing a hard reset on your MN-500? Find a small pointed
object and hold the reset button just above the power plug on the back of
the MN-500 and hold the reset button for about 5-8 seconds. Then try again.
