I personally find this a particularly irksome bug! (I am using unlocked
GSM).

I have reported this bug (amongst others) to Palm Asia Pacific, who tried
to tell me it is a service provider sort of thing.

The service provider knocked this idea, and logic (if there is any) says
that when a phone is diverted, this is through a software switch on the
phone (which is also sent to the sp) so the icon should appear.

The phone software for Palm is written by Sony Ericcson, (spelling?) and
this feature works on their phones.

Palm Asia Pacific then acknowledged this bug, which was not fixed in the
recent GSM unlocked upgrade (as well as several others not fixed).
