9600 se mistake

i just replaced my 5200 ultra with a 9600se. i am getting lower scores on 3dmarks01. did i make a mistake getting this card and should i return it and spend a few bucks more and get a 9600 pro.

man getting the right card is dificult

Yes definately.

Some people get confused, thinking SE stands for 'SPECIAL edition' where it really means 'SUCKY edition'.

yeah i think i am gonna return it and get a 9800 or 9600 pro. that would be a lot better. i mean this card was 2000 points lower than my 5200 ultra in 3edmark01. damn it.

Not suprised.
The 9800SE is HALF the card a 9800 is.
Ditto with the 9600SE.

A proper R9600Pro will kick 5200 buttock.

That's the gimmick they all use with se at the end. People think they are getting a better vid card because of se.
