Start > Run > Type DISKMGMT.MSC > Enter > Right-click drive > Select Change Drive Letter and Paths > Click Change > Select new drive letter from drop-down menu* > OK

* If an internal drive already uses the letter you want, use the above steps to assign that drive a new letter first. Once the desired letter is availiable, repeat the steps for the original drive you wanted to change.

If you right click on Computer and select "Manage," click "Disk Management," and right click the drive you wish to change and select "Change Drive Letter." From there you can change the drive letter from L back to D.

Should you require additional assistance and guidance, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams.
