Avent Laptop with Flickering Screen - Help Please!

Anybody think it's more likely to be the monitor or monitor cable causing this?

Plugs in to an external monitor just fine..

I know how to replace both parts but I'm just wondering if anybody has been anything similar, I've tried flexing the monitor cable all the way along its path but it doesn't seem to make a difference at all.

More likely to be the monitor screen, or it's backlight (or inverter if it's a CCFL screen).
