Guys, I can decide. Ati radeon 9500 64 mb seem to have a higher benchmark in 3dmark 2001se than ti4200. Radeon 9500 is also dx 9 card and ti4200 is just dx8.1 card. In some games, the ti4200 is better than radeon 9500, and in some other games, the radeon 9500 is better than ti 4200, But people would generally say ti 4200 is better and faster than radeon 9500, but radeon 9500 has a "final" way to beat the ti 4200. If you can softmod the 9500 64 mb into 9500 64mb pro succussfully without artifacts. It is a gamble, so I want to ask, I have 100 bucks in graphic cards budget, which one should I get 9500 or ti4200?

definatly the 9500. you can easily OC it and it will last alot longer that the 4200, also has DX9 which is a big bonus.

The bottom line is, even if it doesn't softmod it's a better card than the Ti4200.

You can still overclock it and it kicks the Ti4200's ass in true directX 9 titles like Half Life 2.

Well, I wouldn't bother upgrading from a Ti4200 to a 9600. The Ti4200 is a very good card and stands up well.

It's just, the 9500 is better if you're deciding on one or the other.
