I use dial up to connect to the internet (DSL & Cable aren't available ;/) and I can normally connect to the internet at 40k/sec. Recently my internet stops to work after about the first 10 seconds of being connected though. My modem will dial the number to connect, connect and load my home page... then... it just goes dead; it doesn't hang up, but the transfer rate STOPS. When I check the modem log, after it connects, it says "Hanging up modem" , "Hardware hung up modem due to DTR." I have no idea what this means, but I am assuming that this is why my internet is "dying" after a few seconds. If anyone knows what might be going on, could you please let me know how I might be able to fix it? Thank you very much.
