Deleting file on cdrw cd rom

I tried to delete a few file from cdrw- just got messages cannot delete files
on cdrw- how do I delete the whole cdrw if I decide to do it that way.?

Only if you have a CD-RW drive and a CD-RW disk can you
delete files, providing you also have a third-party CD recording
program installed such as Nero.
